Hydrometer/Refractometer correction
This is a set of tables that you can use to convert and temperature correct a hydrometer or refractometer reading. Tables for precision hydrometers (0.990– 1.020 SG) and regular range hydrometers are available. In addition to that various combinations with regard to the temperature scale being used.
- range 0.990 – 1.020 to Plato conversion with Celsius scale
- range 0.990 – 1.020 to Plato conversion with Fahrenheit scale

water calculator
A simple Excel spread sheet for blending brewing water and calculating salt additions. It also handles dissolved chalk and predicts the mash pH shift based on residual alkalinity and mash thickness. It is formatted such that it works well on a desktop/laptop computer and on a mobile device
- Kaiser_water_calculator.xls
- Kaiser_water_calculator_v119.xls version 1.19, in case the latest version has is more buggy
Efficiency troubleshooting
A simple Excel spread sheet that can list the various losses of efficiency that happen during mash and lauter:
- Efficiency-Troubleshooting-Spreadsheet (desktop screen version)
- Efficiency-Troubleshooting-Spreadsheet (XLS version optimized for use with mobile devices running a spread sheet application like Mariner Calc for iPhone/iPod touch) (v1.5i which includes error analysis)
- Efficiency-Troubleshooting-Spreadsheet (XML version optimized for use with mobile devices running a spread sheet application)
Batch Sparge and Party Gyle simulator
This is a spreadsheet that allows you to estimate your batch sparge efficiency and plan party gyle brewing
Carbonation calulator
- Kaiser_carbonation_calculator_US.xls - preloaded with U.S. units
- Kaiser_carbonation_calculator_metric.xls - preloaded with metric units
