Hydrometer/Refractometer correction

Hydrometer conversion tables

This is a set of tables that you can use to convert and temperature correct a hydrometer or refractometer reading. Tables for precision hydrometers (0.990– 1.020 SG) and regular range hydrometers are available. In addition to that various combinations with regard to the temperature scale being used.

  • range 0.990 – 1.020 to Plato conversion with Celsius scale
  • range 0.990 – 1.020 to Plato conversion with Fahrenheit scale
  • range 0.990 – 1.020 to SG conversion with Celsius scale
  • range 0.990 – 1.020 to SG conversion with Fahrenheit scale
  • range 0 – 30 Plato/Brix to Plato conversion with Celsius scale
  • range 0 – 30 Plato/Brix to Plato conversion with Fahrenheit scale
  • range 0 – 30 Plato/Brix to gravity points conversion with Celsius scale
  • range 0 – 30 Plato/Brix to gravity points conversion with Fahrenheit scale
  • range 1.000 – 1.120 SG to Plato conversion with Celsius scale
  • range 1.000 – 1.120 SG to Plato conversion with Fahrenheit scale
  • range 1.000 – 1.120 SG to gravity points conversion with Celsius scale
  • range 1.000 – 1.120 SG to gravity points conversion with Fahrenheit scale

water calculator

A simple Excel spread sheet for blending brewing water and calculating salt additions. It also handles dissolved chalk and predicts the mash pH shift based on residual alkalinity and mash thickness. It is formatted such that it works well on a desktop/laptop computer and on a mobile device
